On the 11th of December the Repositories Support Project held an event at the University of London Computer Centre to help repository managers learn more about EPrints software. Presentations from Les Carr, Tim Brody, Adam Field and David Tarrant were well received, with delegates having no shortage of questions.

The Repositories Support Project (RSP) is delighted to announce that booking is now open for the first RSP EPrints Training Day, to be held at the University of London Computer Centre on Thursday December 11th, 2008.

Aimed at librarians and repository staff using the open-source EPrints software, the morning sessions will cover the installation and visual customisation of EPrints, metadata schema design and the batch importing of legacy records. The afternoon sessions will look at repository administration in more detail – deposit workflow, quality assurance, batch editing etc, and will include some practical exercises.
