Repository Services DayThursday 15th January 2009, University of BathOn the 15th of January the Repositories Support Project held an event at the University of Bath to introduce repository managers and administrators to a range of services available to help them in the day-to-day management of their repositories. Presentations from Sonja Brage from Lund University and Friedrich Summann from the University of Bielefeld were well received, with delegates having no shortage of questions. Also well received were presentations on vital tools such as RoMEO, OpenDOAR and ROAR by Jane H. Smith and Peter Millington from the University of Nottingham which enabled delegates to pose questions about the practicalities of these services. Delegates had the opportunity to learn about Intute Repository Search and EThOS from Vic Lyte (MIMAS) and Anthony Troman (British Library). Also well received was a practical workshop led by Stephanie Taylor from UKOLN, which enabled delegates to discuss matters in more depth. Throughout the day, delegates were free to ask questions and liaise with RSP representatives to receive support to any issues arising in their own institutions. The last RSP Repository Services Day proved to be a popular event with researchers, repository managers, information professionals. As before, this event will showcase the key repository and search services available to the UK repository and research community, as well as discussing planned future developments.
