Metadata describes the items deposited in a repository, and there are a number of issues that affect the loading, export and harvesting of items. This RSP Focussed Event introduces repository managers to metadata, relevant standards, and the issues that may affect their repositories.

Reliable metadata is vital if repositories wish to intercommunicate or exchange items effectively. The subjects discussed will vary from event to event, but may include the topics listed in the outline programme.
