Get recognition for the library as an area of expertise (even if it's just pointing them to a source of advice). Again, get academics to think about what they have signed away. An alternative to giving the copyright to the publisher is for the author to keep the copyright and add a Creative Commons Licence which gives the publisher a non-exclusive right to publish.
