RSP and the JISC Repository Projects CallAre you thinking of putting in a project proposal for the latest JISC call? If so, the RSP can help you. The RSP exists to help repository projects contextualise their work, contact other people, and help to pass news, ideas and best practice around the community. There is no need for RSP to be a full partner in your proposal for us to work with you on certain things - see below. We can disseminate ideas and practical results that come from your work to the rest of the repository community. Having said that, our staff already have a full work programme. Therefore, if you anticipate needing appreciable help from the RSP with advocacy, advice, or technical support, or would like to work with us as a full partner in your project, then please get in touch to discuss this. The RSP can:
In return, we would like you to:
Do note that while RSP is here to support the dissemination of project results and support building communities of practice, it is unlikely that JISC will see the RSP as being sufficient as the sole dissemination route for your material! In other words, you will have to make some separate provision within your project bid for the dissemination of information and project outputs. JISC has funded us to work in this way and encourages projects to play a full collaborative part in this dissemination and support work. Amber Thomas, the JISC Programme Manager for this area says: "We don't want people to start from scratch. We want members of the community to learn from each other, to collaborate, and to share their challenges. The Repositories Support Project is here to help repository managers and projects, and provides access to a wealth of experience" We look forward to hearing from you about your work.
