University of Westminster Policy on Dissemination of Research and Scholarly Output - From 2007, academic members of staff are now required to deposit the final author-formatted version of all articles and conference papers. This is not currently enforced through any measures.

  • Content types included in repository: Research articles, Conference papers, Books, Multimedia (images, video, sound), Theses
  • Quality assurance policy for research content: We accept peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed materials. For items that are subject to peer-review, we only accept the peer-reviewed version of the full-text. However, we also accept items where peer-review is not an element, such as non-text based arts materials, etc.
  • Currently have e-theses deposit policy: Yes
  • E-theses policy is opt-out (i.e. the thesis will be made OA unless the student requests an exception): Yes

Institutional context

  • Integration / plan for integration with research management systems: A bespoke Virtual Research Environment is currently in development. Publications data should be shared between the VRE and the repository.

  • More about the repository: WestminsterResearch welcomes details of publications from members of staff published either whilst working at the University or previously. Items remain in the repository when staff leave to fulfil our aim of preservation.
